Efim Graboy is an award winning filmmaker and a video therapist - a Steve Tisch School of Film and Television alumnus. His animated experimental documentary, “Minilook Berlin”, was nominated for the best Staff Pick video of 2019 award by Vimeo. Exhibited his films at contemporary art museum exhibitions. His first fiction film, “Lamps Lit on a Towpath”, premiered at Palm Springs ShortFest 2016. Short documentary, “The Unknown Soldier”, was screened in commercial cinemas in Israel and France, won six festival awards, was on the Student Academy Awards Shortlist and received 4th place at the CILECT prize for best documentary. A short documentary, “Valley of the Rulers”, was created as a part of the Interaction: Student Film Camp organized by IFC Filmart in Serbia in 2017. The film won four festival awards in addition to being nominated for the IDA Awards 2019 for best short documentary. Efim had been engaged as Interaction Camp selector and supervisor in 2019. His debut documentary feature “The War of Raya Sinitsina” premiered at DocAviv 2020, winning awards for best director and best cinematography. The film won eight awards in international film festivals worldwide. Awarded for best debut feature and best cinematography by Israeli Documentary Association. Awarded a Special Prize for High Artistic Achievements in the Documentary - Russian Documentary Film and Television Guild in 2021. Since 2020 he is guiding video therapy group sessions, based on a system he developed.
